More coloured shadows test on the Elk, this time concentrating on polar opposites red, blue and purple. Numbers 2, 4, 6 and 8 from the top image looks interesting to me.
When you have multiple coloured shadows, it gives the impression of your animals 'vibrating'. I'd suggest the 'one shadow' works more peacefully - and for me, it's got to be number 5. You know, I've been thinking for a while that actually your elk looks a bit 'grubby' - it's the combination of the yellow and the greyness - he looks a bit unwashed, somehow - not as fresh as your other creatures. I'm wondering if you could 'clean' his colours up a bit?
Hi Phil, thanks, I'll get the elk cleaned up! :) As for the shadows on the rest of the animals, do I leave out the rim lighting idea and stick to one shadow? The mink and the butterfly's got a few on them.
