Minor Project: Animatic sequence updates

Here are the latest sequences of the animatic. I've applied some changes to them such as the beginning and the middle of the animatic and also bringing back the sea mink. At the moment, I'm still exploring ways to have the mink have a little abstract/montage of its own like the others. I've had a look at some footage in getting the mink to run and had a little go at rough animating this into my animatic. Happy to say it works! :D

Minor Project: More character refinements

Slightly more changes are added to the characters this time, bringing back in the otter to complete the colour group. I've also made the creatures look more basic in shapes, this was done in Illustrator for the smooth effect.

Minor Project: Character refinements

I've made some slight character refinements making them look more simpler and full of shapes. I've played around with the bird's design a little with the wings and with the deer, I've changed its horn and the hue. I'm not sure whether to keep the yellow on the deer or have it as green like my animatic.

Minor Project: Project development- Tutorial 02- Animatic

After showing my animatic to Alan, developments are needed.The animatic needs some development in the transitions as well as the opening and ending are needed some working with. I prefer ending A as ending B, after looking back at it many times looks a bit too cold. 

Minor Project: Bird thumbnails and character refinement

After having my tutorial with Alan, there's still room for character refinement. In order to show animals that are extinct, they needed to appear slightly odd, unique or otherworldly. The dodo is excluded as this would become a straight dead giveaway within the film. I've rounded up some animals that appears unique and some based on feedback. The bird however, still needs some changes so below, I've designed some new birds. At the moment, its either the large Haast's eagle (number 2) or the popular passenger pigeon (number 4) that I like as most birds during that era looks almost the same.

Minor Project: First Draft Storyboards

First draft storyboards, I've intended to keep the background to greyscale so that the colours on the animals can stand out. First draft of the animatic to come soon! :D
